Le Cannet Hotels

Le Cannet is a commune of the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. Le Cannet remains loyal to its wonderful artistic past. Great painters such as Pierre Bonnard and Théo Tobiasse (whose works are only displayed inside the Chapel) have immortalised the atmosphere of Le Cannet. The old town of Le Cannet has held onto its traditional charm: steep streets, shady squares and period villas. Don’t miss the creations of the art and crafts studios in rue Saint-Sauveur. A Bonnard Museum in Le Cannet: In 1926, after visiting the south of France several times, Pierre Bonnard bought a small house in Le Cannet, which he called “Le Bosquet”. He resided from 19398 until his death. Many people consider that it was during this period that he produced his best work: Le Cannet is to Bonnard’s work what Giverny is to Monet’s. The town of Le Cannet has decided to rise to the challenge to found a Bonnard Museum. It is scheduled to open in 2010 focused on a retrospective of Bonnard’s life in Le Cannet.
