Aviemore is a renowned centre for outdoor pursuits:cellent climbing and hill walking, competition standard mountain bike ks, water sports on Loch Morlich and Insch and of course skiing and boarding in season are just some of the activities on offer. The fishing and golf are similarly excellent. Sled dog rides, a funicular railway to the top of the Cairngorms and the Strathspey steam railway are also found here and Britains only free roaming reindeer herd can be seen against the stunning backdrop of Glenmore. Close by you will find indoor climbing walls, two leisure centres , the renowned landmark centre, a wildlife park, castles and the famous whisky trails. Shops, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance.
