Phonesavanh

The Phonesavanh Hotel is a bit of a hole, but the associated guesthouse down the road to the east is one of the top choices in town. It loses in the popularity sweep stakes to the Sabaidy 2 up the road, probably because the staff are much more shy and awkward around tourists, so the place doesn t have that same guest house vibe. But the rooms themselves, in terms of value for money, are much better. There s a good range of rooms on offer, and the air con rooms with cable TV are a great option for affordable comfort. The location is closer to the centre of town than the Sabaidy 2, but on a rough dirt road in a non descript neighbourhood, it isn t nearly as pleasant.
