Saythong Guest House is located in the very centre of Champasak Town, on the banks of the Mekong River with a restaurant providing spectacular 180 degree views. This family run guest house has a selection of clean and comfortable rooms with private, cold water bathrooms and is a convenient base for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Temple; Wat Phou, as well as local village life in beautiful Champasak and nearby Dong Daeng Island.

Saythong has an excellent range of facilities and services including a great value restaurant with great views over the Mekong, Dong Daeng Island and beyond. The owners can also organise boat trips and transportation, bicycle and motorbike hire and local information.

Guest rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan and choice of double or twin beds. Rooms come with a private bathroom with western toilet and cold water shower.

The Saythong family will help you with a wealth of local knowledge and excellent facilities including a prime riverside restaurant with a great menu matched by great prices and a spectacular setting over the Mekong River with 180 degree views of the river, Dong Daeng Island and beyond. The guest house also has a selection of motorbikes for rent and can provide car hire with or without a driver. Staff can book onwards bus tickets to Si Pan Don as well as a boat to Dong Daeng Island.

We recommend the Saythong Guesthouse in Champasak as for a comfortable few nights. Located conveniently in the Champasak town area. Stayed in a lovely spacious room, which was really quiet at night, but a bi bright in the morning, Staff were a little reserved at time, but did everything we asked.
