Conveniently located in the centre of Champasak, Sala Phae Floating is a great find! It made for a nice place to chill for a few days, located near the centre of Donkhone Islands. Good value rooms and a little walk to local amenities. The owner was lovely and went out of his way to help me. Overall, the accommodation was of a better standard then I was expecting in Laos and this spot was one of the best.... more detail

Sala Phae Floating style is the first place that I stayed, I fell I fancy sleeping on the river literally, there bamboo rafts floating on the Mekong river. Each supports two comfortable if slightly overpriced room with bio safe toilet in the hot water bathroom and a small balcony.
