Marcoola is a suburb on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. It includes the developments of Town of Seaside and Mount Coolum Shores as well as being a popular destination for tourists. Sunshine Coast Airport is located within the suburban boundary of Marcoola. West Marcoola is largely composed of Mount Coolum National Park and remnant sugarcane plantations. Marcoola Beach is located just north of Maroochy River and boasts quiet uncrowded beaches, which are best suited for serious surfers and walkers. Marcoola Beach is a great escape to unwind for a quiet barbecue or picnic with it's open grassy parkland, shady trees and children's park. There is family style apartment accommodation available with eateries within easy driving distance. For that quiet getaway on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, a holiday at Marcoola is hard to beat. A small town, it is centrally located to all Sunshine Coast attractions. Enjoy all the activities that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Spend a day at Montville in the cooler weather of the Blackall Range or enjoy the ginger products at the Ginger Factory. Take some days to explore the different beaches that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Drive to Noosa and explore the boutiques in Hastings Street, a stone's throw from Noosa Beach. Swim at the many beaches in the area, all enjoying the wonderful Sunshine Coast weather, which is warm-to-hot every day in summer.
