Ratanakiri Province in Cambodia is the Charming of Ratanakiri there are ethnic minorities, elephants, waterfalls and jungle combine to make this one of the most popular provinces in the northeast of Cambodia. If we talk about ethnic minorities, there are many of the inhabintants come from minority group of Khmer Loeu (Upper khmer), including of Kreung, Tompuon, and Jarai. Nowadays, these tribes each have their own distinct language and customs; although today they dress as most other poor Cambodians and lack the colorful clothing seen in Thailand & Vietnam. There is also a large Lao population throughout the province and many languages will be heard in villages such as Voen Sai, Ta Veng, Lum Phat village. Ratanakiri located north – East of country with 635 Km far from Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Rubber used to be a large industry up here, but these day s it looks to be gem mining and tourism that form the lifeblood of the province. After roads in Ratanakiri are renovating and infrustructor are deverloping, tourism was grow up to abundant natural attractions the province has been blessed with. Boeng Yeak Lom volcanic lake is outstanding, but in time the massive Virechay National Park may prove popular for trekkers from around the world. With the large jungle attraction site, Ratanakiri well know as Eco-Tourism zone with its charming town of Ban Lung, you will see the lifestyle of ethnic minorities with their trade in the city, explore the beautiful of many waterfalls such as Chaa Ong, Ka Tieng and Kin Chaan waterfall and a popular waterfall with seven gentle tiers located about 35 km southeast of Ban Lung is Tuk Chrouus Bram Pul Chearn (seven step waterfall). Boat trip on the Tonle San River are popular with beautiful of scenery along the river and reach to visit the Chun Chiet Cemeteries (Ethnic Cemeteries) such as Kachon in a one-hour boat ride east of Voen Sai and has an impressive Tom Puon cemetery in the forest beyond the village. We also can reach to Lao villages and Chinese village opposite Voen Sai. The hot spot for gem mining also available for visiting during trip to visit Tuk Chrous Bram Pul Chearn at Chum Rum Bei srok. One thing that visitor unmissed is Boeng Yeak Lom, the protected area of natural lake includes a circular crater-lake, believed to have been formed 700,000 years ago, situated amid pristine jungle, with its extremely clear with visibility of up to 5m of cool water make very popular for swimming and watching sunset.
