The main places of interest in Corte are the citadel, and the Museum of Corsica and of course the charm of the village itself.
While at Corte, do make sure you get out into the magnificent surrounding countryside. The D936 follows the Gorges de la Restonica south from the town, and are easily accessible for non-walkers. If you are of sterner stuff, head west from town (on foot) towards the Gorges du Tavignano.
