Orleans, France

Orl�ans is a commune in north-central France, about 130 kilometres southwest of Paris. It is the capital of the Loiret department and of the Centre region. The commune is located on the Loire River where the river curves south towards the Massif Central. The city of New Orleans, in the United States is named after the commune of Orl�ans.
