Houaphan (Lao ) is a province of Laos, located in the east of the country. The province is home to the Viengxay caves are Khaisone Phomvihan, Nouhak Khamtai Phoumee Souphanuvong and many caves we should to travel, an extensive network of caves used by the Pathet Lao, and the Hintang Archeological Park, one of the most important pre-historic sites in northern Laos.Houaphan has more place to travelsuch waterfall,forest,traditional .... Houaphan is one of the poorest areas of Laos, but home to spectacular scenery and fine textile traditions. Textiles from this region are recognised to be among the finest in Asia.Houaphan (or Houa Phan) province is a mysterious, beautiful and abundant land situated in the Northeast of Laos, bordered by Xieng Khouang and Luang Prabang to the West and Vietnam to the East. It was the base of the Lao People's Revolutionary activities and the geographical heart of the liberation struggle. The province has a total population of around 247,300; consisting of many ethnic groups, each with their own lifestyle, customs, folkways in wedding and other ceremonies, festivals, folk dances and songs. Houaphan has six districts: Viengxay, Xamnuea, Xamtai, Viengthong and Huamuang. The principle town is Viengxay, formerly known as Nakai, this area has many of birds, reptiles, wild animals.
