Lake inside the jungle

Believe it or not, the place near by Vientiane, 2-3hrs drive with along greenery road having a great man made reservior for hydro eletric power dam for domestic usage and exported to near by countries. It is a massive dam perhaps the largest one in south east asia. It is good weekend for local residence, NGO and great for toourists ; weekend holiday out of the Vientiane, we drove out to the man made lake of Nam Ngum with the most beautiful scenery and view over the lake, our accommodation was at Long Ngum View Resort. Fantastic location, with a view over to the lake where you can view hundreds of islets, meaning this resort is the perfect place which you can not forget, relaxing, cool weather and blooming flowers. The resort is built in the wooden, tropical Lao House style surrounded by orchid flowers, tropical rain forest flowers, and forest. The Nam Ngum View resort is an eco-lodge style place. The owner is friendly too, greeting and speaking to us during our breakfast, and even serving us coffee himself, adding the finishing touch to a memorable short break.
