Luxembourg City
Luxembourg City is an "out of the way" place and usually not on the route to anywhere else in tourist Europe. Many visitors travel from Brussels, which is a three-hour ride on an InterCity (IC) train. The city has a scenic physical setting, good food and pleasant people Although Luxembourg City's attractions are limited, they are of historic significance.
From the train station Walk to the Old Town by hoofing it up the Avenue de la Gare. There are some terrific pastry shops on this route but the ones in the "Old City" are even better.
