Bisha is a town in southwestern Saudi Arabia in 'Asir province. It is located at around 20‹0Œ0N 42‹36Œ0E / 20‹N 42.6‹E / 20; 42.6. Bisha province is located in south-west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia north-east Asir region which is characterized by its strategic location since ancient times as it is on the road of the pilgrims who are coming in from Yemen and the south of the Kingdom heading to Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the middle of Najd, Al-Hijaz, Asir and Wadi Al-Dawasir. This distinguished location gives Bisha an important strategic position as it became a vital center during gathering armies for logistics purpose upon its way from Najd to Asir and Yemen Bisha was the first city in the western and the southern region to accommodate an establishment of a governorate, that was in the year 1363H and under the directions of his Majesty the Late King Abdulaziz
