The Wildlife Friends of Thailand Rescue Center (www.wfft.org) cares for a wide variety of animals rescued from street begging, animal shows and owners who couldn't or wouldn't take care of their animals. This is not just any animal shelter. It is a Rescue Center with a mission to prevent the mistreatment of animals and to restore lost habitat. One of the many projects of the center is a reforestation project to restore forest habitat for elephants. They have centers in other provinces beside Prachuap Khirikhan Province.
