Snorkeling at Ko Samui in Ang Thong Nat'l

The thing to do when you go to Koh Samui (Ko Samui) is to go snorkeling and the place to do that is a Ang Thong Narine National Park. Ang Thong Marine National park is in Surat Thani Province 30 km northwest from Ko Samui. The park is comprised 40 small islets of which only one is inhabited with Sea Gypsies, Ko Paluay. Another interesting island to visit is Ko Mae Ko with its emerald green waters. The waters around many of these islands are clear shallow blue waters with coral reefs. This makes it ideal for snorkeling. On some of the islands there is hiking as well. All of the island are forested and have only small mammals, the biggest of which is the wild boar or pig. Enjoy the seculded beaches of the islands. There are several tour companies that do tours to Ang Thong Marine National Park from Ko Samui. It is best to book directly with the agency operating the tour as you can get better information and avoid the cost of the middlemen.
